Looking back and looking forward

Very grateful for Andrew's ongoing coordination of our class reunions.

To start off my very first attempt at blogging, I want to congratulate Annabelle Farnsworth for her well deserved Australia Day Award - well done!

I have not been back to Sydney Uni since I finished as Associate Dean in 2011 so was surprised to hear that Bosch and Blackburn Buildings are being demolished - brings back memories of playing cards in the foyer of Bosch!

After completing a 9 year term as Chair of the Trustees for St Vincent's Health Australia in 2019, I have spent the last 2 years chairing the National Medical Board's Notifications Committee and am now on the NSW Medical Board and recently appointed to the Australian Medical Council. 

In reality, most of my spare time has been spent joyously looking after 10 grandchildren - the eldest is 9 and youngest two are 1 year old and triplets who are 4 years old. Ken, who is still seeing his endocrine patients at St Vincent's,  presents research and consultancy papers overseas so we have had a wonderful time travelling to northern Italy, including Lausanne with his WADA work, and driving around Piedmont, Lake Maggiore and Lake Garda. Other trips this year include meetings in Chicago with a side trip to Montreal, and one to Barcelona. 

Am very grateful for all the opportunities medical studies and work have provided in terms of friendship and service.
